From 19 to 30 October 2026, he UN Biodiversity Conference (CBD COP 17) will take place in Yerevan, Armenia. The conference will bring together governments and stakeholders from around the world to advance the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity and assess progress on the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
Among the main issues expected to shape the conference: biodiversity conservation, implementation of global nature targets, climate and ecosystem resilience, and stronger action for nature through international cooperation. Held under the slogan “Taking action for nature”, COP 17 is expected to mark an important moment for turning biodiversity commitments into concrete measures.
