The BIOSPACE component of the programme is implemented by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). It aims to strengthen capacities and related regional, national and local frameworks, which support the effective management of marine and coastal biodiversity. Pilot projects aim to demonstrate ecosystem-based approaches and improved livelihoods, based on the sustainable use of marine and coastal resources.
