A side event during the forthcoming United Nations Ocean Conference, will be dedicated to "Innovative approaches to support the sustainable use and conservation of marine and coastal biodiversity in SIDS".
Hosted by the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) and key partners supporting SIDS located in the three regions, the side event will focus on how to finance biodiversity and environmental sustainability in SIDS by identifying and activating innovative ways to mobilise financial resources.
